CJ Juhasz

CJ Juhasz is the Chief Investment Officer of WWB Asset Management, a subsidiary of Women’s World Banking (“WWB,”) which directs equity investment into WWB network members and other women-focused MFIs in order to provide responsible growth capital and to demonstrate the business case for investing in women.  She is currently responsible for over $30mm in investment capital.  Prior to launching WWB Asset Management, CJ was the director of the Women’s World Banking capital markets group, with primary responsibility for promoting network members’ access to commercial sources of funding. The group made capital available directly to network members through the affiliate capitalization, loan guarantee, and direct investment pilot programs; as well as providing introduction to external sources of capital, assisting in negotiations of terms, advising on capital markets transactions, and performance monitoring.     


Prior to joining WWB, CJ spent 12 years structuring and marketing international secured and unsecured debt and quasi-equity transactions for banks and financial institutions globally.  Most recently she served as a director in Deutsche Bank’s fixed income syndicate group in New York.  Previously she had worked as a vice president in Deutsche Bank’s capital markets group in London and Merrill Lynch’s capital markets group in New York.  While at Deutsche Bank, she also volunteered her time conducting credit analysis on microfinance institutions applying for Deutsche Bank’s microfinance funds. She began her career as a military police platoon leader in the United States Army.  She served on the board of the Microfinance Club of New York as treasurer from 2006 - 2010, and spearheaded the Club’s effort to incorporate and receive a 501(c)3 designation in 2008.  CJ holds a BS from the United States Military Academy at West Point and an MBA from Stanford University.
