Microfinance and economic development-related investment opportunities are increasingly becoming a part of investment portfolios of pension funds, foundations, endowments, and high-net-worth individuals. Wall Street is taking notice of accelerating private equity investments by large established players around the world and of a large upcoming IPO in India. The panel will discuss different types of microfinance investments and their stable performance during the last few years of extreme volatility and turmoil both from a sell- and buy-side perspective. This program will also seek to provide a greater, more detailed understanding of how to evaluate debt and equity investment opportunities in this asset class.
