Microlumbia’s 4th Annual Microfinance Conference:

Looking Back and Planning for the Future

During the first decade of the 21st century the Microfinance industry was filled with a mix of success and failure. A Nobel peace prize and a series of IPOs paved the way for exponential portfolio growth, but overheating and an a global financial crisis have prompted industry players to take a step back. As we look forward to the 2010’s, we ask ourselves what are the lessons learned so far and what are the challenges that Microfinance will face during the next decade.
